Prof. Dr. Christophe Kunze takes over from Prof. Dr. Knut Möller

The Institute of Applied Research (IAF) is the central point of contact for all questions relating to research at HFU. Since September 2024, it has had a new Director − Prof. Dr. Christophe Kunze (Faculty GSG), previously Deputy Director, was handed the baton by the previous director Prof. Dr. Knut Möller after four years. He was bid farewell by the IAF members present on 23.09.24 during an IAF retreat on the topic of “Research-based Transfer” on the Tuttlingen Campus. His new deputy is Prof. Dr. Markus Egert (Faculty MLS).

“We would like to thank Knut Möller for his many years of successful service as head of the IAF and are now looking forward to further advancing research and research-based transfer at HFU as a new, growing team,” says Christophe Kunze. Markus Egert will be the contact person for scientific communication and publications and will try to establish a research data management system at HFU; Christophe Kunze will focus more on third-party funded research, research services and knowledge and technology transfer. Iris Schwarz (Assistant), Caroline Armbruster (European Research Funding) and Dr. Thorsten Fitzon as Managing Director will continue as active members of the team.
