An inspiring morning filled with networking, knowledge and new perspectives
In December, the HFU Business School, together with the Villingen-Schwenningen Oberzentrum GVO trade association, hosted a breakfast for entrepreneurs on the Schwenningen Campus. Around 40 representatives of the regional economy came together to discuss innovation, collaboration and future topics.
Dr. Alexandra Bormann, President of HFU, opened the event and underlined the importance of the partnership between the university and regional companies − whether through research cooperation or practice-oriented educational opportunities. GVO President Joachim Müller thanked the university for its hospitality and spoke about the vision of a more intensive partnership. Stefan Beetz, Chairman of the Industry and Crafts Division, spoke about the need for lifelong learning and the challenges posed by new technologies.
Prof. Dr. Michael Hepp, Dean of Studies of the Executive MBA and Vice-Dean for Academics, then presented the HFU Business School's part-time continuing education programmes, including the four-semester “Executive MBA Programme” and the one-semester “Management Essentials for Professionals”, both of which will start again in March 2025.
The highlight of the morning was the keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Kai-Markus Müller on the topic of “Pricing”. Under the title “The search for the feel-good price”, he provided in-depth insights into the psychology of price perceptions and surprised the participants with an exciting experiment.
The morning was rounded off with a sumptuous breakfast and a final group photo under the festive Christmas tree. With exciting discussions, new impulses and a strengthened network, the guests left feeling inspired.
