Workshops for school pupils (Grades 10- 13)
Practice is compulsory at this level − but schools often lack the equipment for modern laboratory methods. We close this gap − you and your class simply come to our lab! We offer exciting workshops in the fields of biology, chemistry and engineering on the Schwenningen Campus and at the Rottweil Research Center.

From “A” for atmospheric plasma and AI programming, to “S" for surface coatings.
How can material surfaces be adapted for different applications? Hydrophilic - hydrophobic - this can be adjusted with the help of coatings and surface activations.
In the experiments, we use both atmospheric plasma for activation and CVD processes that take place in a vacuum. Then there is the analysis with the help of coating thickness and contact angle measurement and, if necessary, a look at the surface under the electron scanning microscope (SEM).
