Buddy Programme

New to Germany? Don't worry, we have someone who'll make it easy to get started! 
With our Buddy Programme, you don't just get a first contact person, you get a real insider at your side. HFU students who help fellow international students find their way around the university and their new surroundings.

Contact is established between international students and the buddies even before you arrive, so initial questions can be clarified and preparations can made. Do you want to know the best place to go shopping, how the semester ticket works or where the most popular meeting places are? Your buddy has the answers!

The best thing is that you not only become familiar with the campus and the city, but also the German language and culture. And who knows? Maybe the buddy partnership will develop into a language tandem or a real friendship.

The initiative is complemented by numerous events organised by the International Center (IC) and the International Student Community (ISC). These include excursions, movie nights and other events where international students and buddies can discover the region together and make new contacts.
