We would like to point out that you use the YouTube channel and its functions on your own responsibility. This applies in particular to the use of the interactive functions (e.g. commenting, rating).
1. Data processed by Youtube/Google
Information about which data is processed by Google via YouTube and for what purposes can be found in Google's data policy:
https://www.youtube.com/intl/ALL_de/howyoutubeworks/user-settings/privacy/
Furtwangen University has no influence on the type and scope of the data processed by YouTube/Google, the type of processing and use or the transfer of this data to third parties. It also has no effective means of control in this respect.
By using YouTube/Google, your personal data will be collected, transferred, stored, disclosed and used by Google and transferred to, stored and used in the United States, Ireland and any other country in which Google does business, regardless of your place of residence.
On the one hand, Google processes your voluntarily entered data such as name and user name, e-mail address, telephone number or the contacts in your address book when you upload or synchronize it.
On the other hand, YouTube/Google also evaluates the content you share and comment on to determine which topics you are interested in, stores and processes confidential messages that you send directly to other users, and can determine your location using GPS data, information on wireless networks or your IP address in order to send you advertising or other content.
Google may use analysis tools such as Google Analytics for evaluation purposes. Furtwangen University has no influence on the use of such tools by Google and has not been informed of any such potential use. If tools of this type are used by Google for Furtwangen University's account, Furtwangen University has neither commissioned nor approved this nor supported it in any other way. Furtwangen University can only view certain information about the number of views of individual posts, such as the number of clicks on a particular post to read more or click on a link, via its account. Furthermore, Furtwangen University has no way of preventing or disabling the use of such tools (so-called insights) on its YouTube account.
Finally, YouTube/Google also receives information when you view content, for example, even if you have not created an account. This so-called "log data" may include the IP address, the browser type, the operating system, information about the previously accessed website and the pages you accessed, your location, your mobile phone provider, the device you are using (including device ID and application ID), the search terms you used and cookie information.
Via YouTube buttons or widgets integrated into websites and the use of cookies, Google is able to record your visits to these websites and assign them to your YouTube/Google profile. This data can be used to tailor content or advertising to you.
Due to the fact that Google is a non-European provider with a European branch only in Ireland, it is not bound by German data protection regulations according to its own interpretation. This concerns, for example, your rights to information, blocking or deletion of data or the possibility of objecting to the use of usage data for advertising purposes.
You have the option of restricting the processing of your data in the general settings of your YouTube account and under "Settings, Privacy". On mobile devices (smartphones, tablet computers), you can also restrict Google's access to contact and calendar data, photos, location data, etc. in the settings options there. However, this depends on the operating system used.
2. Data processed by Furtwangen University:
Furtwangen University also processes your data. It does not collect any data itself via its YouTube account. However, the data you enter on YouTube, in particular your user name and the videos published under your account, will be processed by us insofar as we may refer to your videos/account and comment on/rate the videos. The data you freely publish and disseminate on YouTube is thus included by Furtwangen University in its offering and made accessible to its followers. Furtwangen University therefore processes data exclusively lawfully in accordance with the provisions of Section 6 (1) sentence 1 e) GDPR in conjunction with Section 4 LDSG BW.
