Entry requirements
To apply for PMD, you need a university entrance qualification that entitles you to study at a German university (Abitur). We also require proof of an above-average Bachelor of Science degree or an equivalent degree in an engineering or natural science, or closely related subject, with at least 210 ECTS points.
Please note: Foreign applicants must have their certificates recognised. Information on this can be found further down on this page.
Proof of English proficiency with at least 90 points in the IBT TOEFL, IELTS Band 6 or CEFR B2 is also required.
Applicants must provide proof of sufficient knowledge in at least three of the following subjects:
I. Biochemistry
II. microbiology
III. molecular biology
IV. Physiology
V. Statistics
Proof of knowledge can be provided by the successful completion of degree programmes, practical modules or courses and/or professional experience.
We also require practical experience in the field of analytical sciences. Proof of this knowledge can be provided by the successful completion of an internship, laboratory courses or relevant professional experience.

How do I apply?
Applications can be submitted between 15 February and 15 May (non-EU/EEA applicants) or 15 February and 15 July (EU/EEA applicants).
Applications must be submitted via our online application portal.
Please note: The file size of all attachments must not exceed 10 MB. If there are problems sending the form, please reduce the size of the attachments.
The following documents will be required for the application process:

- Subject-specific knowledge: cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology, pathophysiology, statistics.

- Language proficiency: proof can be provided by means of recognised language certificates, e.g., min. 90 points IBT TOEFL, IELTS Band 6 or CEFR B2, bachelor's degree with English as the language of instruction

- APS for India, Vietnam, China
- Certificate recognition by the Studienkolleg Konstanz for all NON-EU applications
