Development of an intelligent trueing unit
The trueing of grinding tools, i.e. the contouring and sharpening of the grinding tool, is an important step in the grinding process. Until now however there have been no standardized and commercially obtainable trueing systems for high-speed grinding with very high cutting speeds. This project therefore aims to develop a new trueing system with an appropriate trueing strategy for high-speed grinding.
