Face-to-face training course “Management Essentials for Professionals (MEP)” or “Extended Management Essentials for Professionals (eXMEP)”
For managers and junior managers from companies and organizations as well as graduates of technical, legal, scientific or IT courses of study
Aim and content of the certificate course
In this one-semester course, you will learn how to deal with strategic decisions and challenges in complex and uncertain situations. This is exactly what is important at strategic levels.
After successfully completing the MEP programme and obtaining the CAS certificate, you have the opportunity to acquire a further officially recognized certificate with little additional effort. Namely with the extension option “Extended Management Essentials for Professionals (eXMEP)”.
Here, three additional modules are selected from the 2nd and 3rd semester Executive MBA subjects and a further 9 ECTS can be acquired. Upon successful completion, the 30 ECTS will result in a state-recognized “Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS certificate)”.
The decision for this “Extended” variant can be made at very short notice at the end of the 1st semester.

Graduation
Upon successful completion of the course, Furtwangen University will issue a certificate of continuing academic education worth 21 (MEP) or 30 (eXMEP) ECTS points.
The performance assessment takes the form of a presentation. In this, participants apply the content taught to their own project. Information about the type and scope of the project will be provided in advance.

Prerequisites
Formal requirements
First professionally qualifying university degree (Bachelor, Master, Magister, Diplom or equivalent - deviations possible after consultation with the Dean of Studies of the Executive MBA).
Successful participation in a detailed, personal interview to get to know each other
Professional requirements
At least five years of professional experience in a responsible position after graduation.
Good command of English as the language of study
