Get a taste of university!

For school leavers interested in studying at Furtwangen University, we are offering a taster programme during the Whitsun holidays from 16 to 18 June 2025!
For one, two or three days, you can immerse yourself in university life on the Furtwangen Campus, Schwenningen Campus and Tuttlingen Campus and try out any of the degree programmes you feel like.
The programme is aimed at pupils in the 10th grade and higher.
You can find out which university departments are taking part in the taster course on this page in the coming months.

You can get a taste of our Business Administration and Engineering degree programmes
- 9.00am: Arrival, reception at the front door of the G Building (Baumannstr. 38, Furtwangen)
- 9.10 - 9.45am: Presentation of the “Internal link opens in the same window:Business Administration and Engineering - Marketing and Sales” and “Internal link opens in the same window:Business Administration and Engineering - Product Engineering” bachelor's degree programmes
- 10.00am - 12.45pm: Workshop in the Industrial Solutions Lab: Your digital business card − design and print your own ring with a smart function
- 12.45 - 1.30pm: Lunch in the canteen with our study ambassadors
- 1. 30 - 2.45pm: Lecture (in German): I spy with my little eye − eye tracking in marketing
- 2.45 - 3.00pm: Wrap up and Q&A session

You can get a taste of our healthcare-related degree programmes
- 9.00am: Arrival and welcome at the entrance of the O Building (Luisenstraße 17, 78120 Furtwagen)
- 9.10am: Presentation of the study programmes
- 10.15am: Taster lecture “Introduction to Health Sciences”
- 10.45am: Taster lecture “Physiotherapeutic diagnostics and therapy” (online transmission)
- 11.25am: Laboratory tour with a short visit to the teaching kitchen on the topic of “sustainable nutrition”
- 12.00 noon: Taster lecture “Quality assurance in midwifery science”
- 12.30pm: Lunch snack from the teaching kitchen
- 1.15pm: Practical exercises in the multi-professional skills lab
- 3.00pm: Field reports from students
- 3.30pm: Wrap up
- 3.45pm: End of the event
Schwenningen Campus
You can get a taste of our engineering degree programmes
- 9.00am: Meeting point in the inner courtyard in front of E Building (Schwenningen Campus)
- 9.10am: Welcome and presentation of the faculty and the bachelor's degree programmes on the Schwenningen Campus:
- 9.45am: Taster lecture
- 11.15am: Guided tour of the medical engineering laboratories
- 11.45am: Lunch together with students in the canteen
- 12.30pm: Guided tour of mechanical engineering laboratories
- 1.15pm: Various optional workshops
- 2.15pm: Wrap up
- 2.30pm: End of programme
