Professional development courses for University staff
As part of the personnel development plan of the University, the HFU Akademie offers professional development courses for staff.
Examples of internal professional development courses are as follows:
- Basic and specialist courses on Office software
- Public relations
- Personal development courses
- Project and self-management
The HFU Akademie team is happy to accept suggestions for new courses.

University teaching professional development courses
Professional development courses in teaching for university employees
Furtwangen University offers teaching staff various professional development courses on university teaching. These include courses for:
- Professors
- Other lecturers
- Student assistants
These are made up of both HFU internal courses and courses offered by the "Office of the Academic Commission for University Teaching at Universities of Applied Sciences in Baden-Württemberg" (GHD). The courses may be free of charge.
