The HFU Akademie offers training courses, seminars and workshops in the core competences of the University: computer science, engineering, business, media, health and key qualifications. Prerequisites for participation is normally a university degree or a vocational training qualification plus several years of experience.

The courses take various forms: face-to-face courses, online courses or a combination of these two forms (blended learning).

Face-to-face courses have the advantage that learning takes place together with other participants. Exchange between the learners and the instructors takes place on the spot and no special media skills are required.

Online learning has no place and time restrictions. This is particularly useful for those in full-time employment, or who for private reasons prefer a flexible, customized way of learning. Participants around the world can take part in online courses.
