Learning outcomes and content

In this seminar, you will learn, among other things:

The basics of good leadership behaviour
Motivational and value-oriented leadership of employees
How to hone your own leadership skills in practical exercises, role plays and an individual case study.

Target group and prerequisites

This seminar is aimed at current and future specialists and managers in companies and organisations across all industries.

Prerequisites

Admission to a contact study programme generally requires a university degree or vocational training in a relevant profession, as well as at least one year of professional experience.

Format

Part I – Fundamentals of leadership:

Graves' value model, Loevinger's ego development (including classification of one's own personality), the nature of motivation, and various experiments on these topics.

Part II – Typology of leadership personalities:

Good and bad leadership in contrast, good and bad leadership behavior in relation to talent, autonomy, ability, goals, and achievement. This is illustrated and reinforced with role-playing by the participants and the instructor.

Part III – A guide to building good leadership:

Where do I stand personally? Overview (where does the environment stand?), acting like a leader, and general tips for managers.

Qualification

Upon successful completion, Furtwangen University will issue a certificate of academic continuing education.
