This training course provides an in-depth look at technical cleanliness in energy storage and battery production, with a strong focus on practical applications. It focuses on specific implementation issues related to logistics, packaging, equipment evaluation, production layout and assembly-integrated cleaning − all directly relevant to the industrial practices of cell and module manufacturing.

  • Review production design Layout, housing, handling and cleaning plans are presented as key factors for the effective implementation of technical cleanliness.
  • Evaluate systems based on practical experience Participants will learn to assess existing systems for their suitability and identify specific ways to improve them.

Learning outcomes and content

The topics covered, all of which are in the context of energy storage and battery production, include logistics concepts, bottleneck analysis, packaging as a cost driver, tray design in practice, vibration monitoring, production concepts, area-specific cleaning plans, cleaning integrated into the assembly process, and the evaluation of existing facilities.

Target group and prerequisites

This course is suitable for participants interested in the practical application of technical cleanliness in production, logistics, packaging, planning and quality management. A basic understanding of technical cleanliness is helpful.

Prerequisites for participation are:

  • completed vocational training OR
  • a degree from a university of applied sciences

In addition, at least one year of professional experience is required.

Format

We plan to offer a concise training session that includes methodological guidance, real-world industry examples, and time for questions and discussion.

Qualification

Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate (1 ECTS) from Furtwangen University.

With over 25,000 jobs in the automotive industry, the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg region ranks among Germany’s top 100 automotive regions. The predominantly small and medium-sized suppliers are, in part, facing significant pressure to transform due to their focus on mechanically manufactured components and their status as Tier 2 or 3 suppliers. At the same time, innovative pioneers can be identified in key future-oriented fields.

This is where the automotive initiative “AuToS SW-BW” comes in. The project stands for “Automotive Transformation Strategy for Southwest Baden-Württemberg.” Together with the many small and medium-sized enterprises, the goal is to create a visible network of the regional automotive industry with a strong voice, to align business models with the future, to train employees, and to transfer knowledge.

The goal is to develop the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg region into a sustainable and future-proof automotive and technology hub with innovative, medium-sized suppliers.
