The Applied Mechatronics and System Design Lab can offer a wide range of services in the following areas:
- High-frequency technology / EMV
- Drive technology (particularly servo drive)
- Measurement and control technology
- Power electronics
We have already worked on transfer projects with industry partners in all these areas, i.e. our developments until now culminated in at minimum a fully functioning lab prototype or in a marketable product. Our projects have until now been financed by funding streams from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for Science, Research and the Arts (MWK).
Collaborative and transfer projects with industry partners can also be carried out with the help of funding, especially in the case of high-risk projects.
An enquiry from a building climate control supplier in winter 2014 is a good example of the flexible approach and the wide range of competencies the LAMS team has to offer. We were very quickly able to determine and reproduce under experimental conditions, the flow conditions of ventilation and air-conditioning equipment (see photos of air flow above) through simple, but nevertheless fully functioning, lab set-ups.
