Studium Plus is a cooperative study programme that integrates training and allows you to obtain two qualifications at the same time – a bachelor's degree and a Chamber of Industry and Commerce qualification. We offer this model in various degree programmes at HFU. This allows you to earn money during your studies and after 4.5 years you will have two qualifications in your pocket!

Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics (MM)

Technology enthusiasts wanted!

Benefit from more than 20 years of experience in supporting Studium Plus at the Schwenningen site! Here you can combine an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic with a degree in mechanical engineering and mechatronics. With a separate class in the vocational school just for our students, we can integrate your training perfectly into your studies. In the first two years of your studies, you'll spend two half-days on campus and two half-days at the vocational school. You will spend the rest of the time at your company. After 4 semesters, you'll complete your training as an industrial mechanic and then continue your studies full-time. Electrical Engineering (ELA)

Have fun studying engineering!

Electrical engineering is everywhere: from the iPhone to the Porsche. A degree in electrical engineering offers you an entry into one of the most exciting industries with the best prospects for the future. In the Studium Plus study model, you study the first four semesters at the Schwenningen Campus and then complete your training as an electronics technician for devices and systems. You will benefit from more than 20 years of experience in the supervision of Studium Plus at the Schwenningen Campus! With a separate class in the vocational school just for our students, we can integrate your training perfectly into your studies. In the first two years of your studies, you will spend two half-days on campus and two half-days at the vocational school. You'll spend the rest of the time at the company. After completing your apprenticeship, you'll switch to the full-time Electrical Engineering course at Furtwangen.

Mechatronics and Digital Production (MDP)

Enjoy mechanics, computer science and electrical engineering?

This will enable you to drive digital change in business and society!

On the Tuttlingen Campus, you can combine the "Internal link opens in the same window:Mechatronics and Digital Production" degree programme with training as a "Mechatronics technician" or "Industrial mechanic". The vocational training takes place in the company and at the Erwin Teufel School in Spaichingen. Important: To register for Study Plus, you need a completed training contract with a company (e.g. Internal link opens in the same window:partner company).

The basic course takes place over four semesters:
1 day vocational school | 2 days university | 2 days company.

You study the main course full-time and are also under contract with your company, where you complete the practical semester, the project work and your thesis. You can specialise either in mechatronics or in production.

Applied Materials Sciences (AMB)

On the Tuttlingen Campus, you can combine the "Internal link opens in the same window:Applied Materials Science" course with the "Industrial Mechanic" apprenticeship. The vocational training takes place in the company and at the Erwin Teufel School in Spaichingen. Computer Science (AIN)

With the Study Plus Computer Science programme, you can complete both a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (AIN) and vocational training as a mathematical engineering software developer in just four and a half years.

In the first four semesters, you'll be attending lectures and classes (university and vocational school) two days a week and spend three days a week in the training company. After two years, you'll take the final examination at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and complete your foundation course. This is followed by five further semesters in the advanced course, including a practical semester and the bachelor's thesis, which also take place in the training company.

As part of this Study Plus model, Furtwangen University cooperates with the Donaueschingen Commercial and Home Economics Schools as well as with numerous companies in the region.
