  • Important skills We not only increase your engineering skills, but also your management skills. The development of your soft skills is also important to us to prepare you to lead projects and teams well.

Details of the programme

Programme content and structure

Within three standard semesters, you will deepen your expertise in computer science, electrical engineering or mechanics on this master's programme.

Elective options

If you choose MES, you determine the focus of your studies yourself! Choose your specialisation from nine possible modules – for example image processing, data analysis or embedded systems.

Exciting focuses

In MES, we focus on electronics, computer science, modeling and simulation, signal processing and engineering mathematics. On the Tuttlingen Campus you can expect not only exciting content, but also state-of-the-art equipment in our labs!

Hot topics

In addition to the in-depth lectures, you can also expect research internships and project work – we focus on MES in a practical and cutting-edge way! You'll complete your master's thesis in the third semester. You choose the topic yourself – our students often work together with companies for their thesis.

Faculty of Industrial Technologies

The Faculty of Industrial Technologies on the Tuttlingen Campus is something very special. At HFU, all subject areas are taught with a lot of practical relevance– but on the Tuttlingen Campus, students benefit from a special proximity to companies in the region. The focus here is on cooperation with industry in many practicals, students are allowed to work in company labs and can thus also make important contacts for their future careers. At "ITE", we focus our degree programmes on current topics of the future – digitalisation and technologisation, smart materials, medical technology, the energy transition, sustainability and human-machine interaction are just some of the exciting topics that we are helping to shape the future with.
