Mechatronic Systems

Master of Science

Ready for a future in R&D with a master's in Mechatronic Systems!

The Mechatronic Systems master's programme provides a deeper understanding of the core engineering disciplines of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and IT. Mathematics for engineers, management and soft skills round off the degree programme.

Mechatronic elements are built into nearly all technical products. Therefore many companies see enormous potential in mechatronic systems. Experts with know-how in the areas of computer science, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering are in demand, above all in the area of digitalization. The combination of these disciplines, looked at in more depth in the Mechatronic Systems master's programme,  provides an excellent basis for a successful career as a specialist or as a manager in the research and development of mechatronic solutions. Alternatively, graduates will work in the area of marketing and sales of mechatronic products. The master's programme will provide you with the necessary methodology and specialist knowledge for these areas of work. Mechatronic Systems is therefore your masterplan for the future!

Study Mechatronic Systems "Powered by industry"

The Master of Mechatronic Systems on the Tuttlingen Campus is run in close cooperation with industry. The companies in the Friends of University Campus Tuttlingen sponsoring society are actively involved in shaping and teaching the mechatronics programme. The programme is therefore workplace-relevant and cutting-edge: student projects actually take place in the various companies. This gives students broader insights into the interdisciplinary field of mechatronics as well as the everyday work and demands of engineers working in this field.
