The completely redesigned curriculum of the Interactive Media Design master's programme offers in-depth academic training in the conception, design and implementation of future-oriented user experiences.
The focus of the programme is on:
- Interaction and user experience design
- Staging of interactive media in real and virtual spaces
- Cognition and perception of multimodal interactive media
- Game design and gamification
- Economics and management of interactive media
- Experimental and application-oriented research and design projects
The multidimensional mindset at the interfaces of design, technology and economy, of reality and virtuality, which is lived and taught in the Master's programme in Interactive Media Design at the Faculty of Digital Media, qualifies graduates for leading positions in industry, in UX-oriented agencies and research institutions in the field of human-machine interaction. After graduation the paths to freelance self-employment, an entrepreneurial start-up or continuation in an academic career are all open.
Who is the Master's in Interactive Media Design degree for?

How do I apply?
- Regular start of studies in the winter semester (October), start also possible in summer semester (March)
- Letter of motivation and reflection of at least 3 selected pieces of work from previous studies or professional life
- Application deadline: Winter semester by July 15, summer semester by January 15
