The preparation semester for international students

HFU.Prep is a qualification programme designed to prepare you for studying in German at a German university. It can be taken as a pre-semester course enabling you to develop your German language skills to the point where you well prepared to study at university in German.

With us you get:

  • compact, effective preparation for the German certificate exam at C1 level
  • German courses specifically tailored to your area of interest
  • the possibility to attend seminars/lectures in the subject area of your choice at participating faculties
  • soft skills for your studies: from learning and presentation skills, to teamwork

And you are not alone!

We support you in all phases of your HFU.Prep semester, both with your professional training and your everyday life. We are happy to advise you on any questions you may have.

Once you have successfully completed HFU.Prep, you can directly apply for one of the degree programmes at HFU or another German university.

In addition, all enrolled HFU students can take the courses during their studies to deepen their language skills. Please also contact us if you would like to improve your English proficiency during your studies, e.g. to obtain a bilingual degree, or to prepare for a stay abroad.
