Foundation courses

You'll take the foundation courses together with the students on the Industrial Engineering – Product Engineering course. Here you'll gain the fundamentals of engineering, business administration, communication and foreign languages.

Advanced courses

During your advanced level courses you will specialise in marketing and sales. From market research methods to communication and marketing controlling, we will thoroughly familiarise you with your new subject area. In the third and fifth semesters, you will complete two project studies in which you will work on specific assignments from the business world. Teamwork and project management skills are particularly important here. You'll spend your entire fourth semester in a company to apply and deepen your knowledge in practice.

Exam & thesis

In the seventh semester, you have to write your thesis. You will choose your own interesting topic for this – often a specific task that you develop a solution for a company. Thanks to your practical experience, but also through company fairs at HFU, it is very easy to make the right contacts. This extensive academic text is, so to speak, the culmination of your studies and a prerequisite for us to be able to proudly award you the academic degree of "Bachelor".

Entry requirements

A little experience is necessary

Before you start the Marketing and Sales degree progamme, you must complete a six-week pre-study internship. You must submit proof of this by the start of the main course at the latest. During the internship, you will learn the basics of mechanical manufacturing processes. To do this, you must spend 15 attendance days in a training workshop or similar facility, and the rest of the time you should gain experience in production or a production-related area.

MVB specifics

Technologies and innovations are radically changing industrial goods and services, and markets are developing rapidly. There is a particular lack of qualified sales and marketing-related engineering courses. Business Administration and Engineering – Marketing and Sales closes precisely this gap.

Through courses such as negotiation management, customer relationship management, market research and technical subjects, we prepare you in the best possible way for your next job. Our outstanding additional qualification allows you to identify customer requirements and turn them into products and services together with engineers. We also prepare you for marketing those solutions that require explanation.
