What is Schwenningen really like?

Deepen your language skills and get to know Schwenningen

On Wednesday, 24 November 2021 and Thursday, 25 November 2021, HFU students will have the opportunity to learn about the exciting history of Schwenningen as a university location in a guided tour of the Watch Industry Museum from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. each day, while at the same time improving their own German or English skills in practice. On Wednesday, the guided tour will take place in German (B2/C1 level), on Thursday in English (B2).

The tours cover interesting and exciting topics on both city history and social history. The tour starts in the courtyard of the Schwenningen campus, from where a museum staff member and the participants walk to the museum (Bürkstraße 39 in 78054 Villingen-Schwenningen). On the way, there are several stops where the students get to know important buildings of the city of Schwenningen. In the museum itself, they will discover what makes Schwenningen a watchmaking town. The tour ends at around 5:30 p.m. in the Clock Industry Museum.

There are no costs. Registration is not necessary.
