
Graduation ceremony at the HFU Business School of Furtwangen University
Last Saturday, the HFU Business School at Furtwangen University celebrated the graduation of over 100 bachelor's and master's students last Saturday. In glorious
summer weather, more than 350 graduates and their families and friends gathered in the Neckarhalle in Villingen-Schwenningen for the festive event. The internationality of HFU Business School was impressively demonstrated by the many guests from all over the world who had travelled to Villingen-Schwenningen especially to experience this special day.
The two-hour programme was hosted by students Vivienne Frank and Tim Seitzer. Dean of Studies Prof. Dr. Armin Trost welcomed the attendees warmly and emphasised the importance of internationality and the outstanding achievements of the graduates in his speech.
An inspiring highlight of the evening was the keynote speech by Dr. Tobias Grünfelder on the topic of “Wonder Mindset”. As a Learning & Development expert, he explained how magic can be used to master the challenges of today. In recognition of the graduates' achievements, each study programme was individually called to the stage and honoured, creating a personal and unforgettable moment for the students. The emotional highlight was the presentation of awards to the bachelor's and master's graduates by Prof. Dr. Trost and the Deans of Studies. Graduation speeches were given by the graduates Bingjie Wu (International Business Management) and Rahulkumar Sapra (Executive MBA).
Ashton D'Souza (a master's graduate of HFU Business School) and Keziah Kelly (a student at the University of Freiburg) accompanied the afternoon with atmospheric piano music and vocals. Afterwards, the guests took the opportunity to celebrate this milestone with professors, former fellow students and family members.
