A lecture in the ‘Summer School’ series at Furtwangen University
Many of the technologies and discoveries that shape our everyday lives have their origins in the Orient. Dr Jawad Slieh from Furtwangen University (HFU) will take a closer look at some of these in his HFU Summer School lecture. From medical discoveries and revolutionary mathematical concepts to brilliant inventions in architecture, astronomy and engineering, he will take the audience on a fascinating journey through the history of these achievements. He will present inventions from the Orient that still accompany us today, have changed the world and are deeply rooted in our lives.
All those interested are welcome to join Dr Jawad Slieh on his “journey” on Wednesday, 9 September at 4.00pm. The free lecture will take place on the Schwenningen campus of HFU (Jakob-Kienzle-Strasse 17, 78054 Schwenningen) in Room 0.0x.
