Experimental show on temperatures as part of Furtwangen University’s “Summer School” series
Visitors can look forward to spectacular experiments involving temperatures ranging from minus 196 to over 1,000 degrees Celsius on Thursday, 3 September, at Furtwangen University (HFU). Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Krause and Prof. Dr. Gerhard Kirchner will present the show “Fire and Ice” as part of the HFU Summer School. In the show, they will explore, among other things, how a rose reacts to extremely low temperatures, why a water-filled balloon doesn’t burst, and explain what ice-cold, liquid air is all about.
Anyone interested is invited to attend the free show starting at 11.00am. in the G Building, Room 0.08 (Baumannstraße 38) on the Furtwangen campus.
