A lecture in the “Summer School” series at Furtwangen University
In his lecture as part of the “Summer School” series at Furtwangen University (HFU), Prof. Dr. Mike Fornefett explores the wide variety of devices – from the first simple tools to highly sophisticated technical systems. Using selected examples, he will explain the principles behind these devices and how their design and applications have changed over the centuries. Fornefett views devices as solutions to specific challenges in life and explains why technology is not only practical but also deeply intertwined with human existence on a cultural level.
All those interested are invited to attend the lecture on Wednesday, 26 August, at 10.00am. on the Schwenningen campus of HFU (Jakob-Kienzle-Straße 17, 78054 Schwenningen). This free event will take place in the H Building, Room 0.x.
