Poster prize for iMST at MicroTEC Südwest Clusterkonferenz 2026

With an award-winning poster, two technical presentations, and a highly acclaimed exhibition, the Institute for Microsystems Technology (iMST) at Furtwangen University successfully showcased its work at the 2026 MicroTEC Südwest Cluster Conference in Baden-Baden.

In May, the Institute for Microsystems Technology (iMST) at Furtwangen University was represented at the MicroTEC Südwest Cluster Conference 2026 at the Kongresshaus Baden-Baden. The event is one of the most important networking gatherings for microsystems technology in the region, bringing together experts from academia and industry each year.

At its booth, the iMST presented numerous new demonstration models, which generated great interest among visitors. In addition, Benjamin Sittkus and Nicolas Pfaff presented their current research in a technical presentation.

Roya Shafieipour achieved a particular success; as part of the “Young Talents meet Industry” event for early-career researchers, she presented a poster on her master’s thesis about flexible terahertz metasurfaces. She was awarded the prize for the best poster for her work.

In addition to its own presentations, the cluster conference offered a wide range of insights into current developments in microsystems technology. At the same time, the iMST used the event to deepen professional exchange and further expand existing contacts with partners from academia and industry.
