How genetic engineering is helping in the fight against microplastics

to HFU News

A lecture in the HFU Summer School series

What has genetic engineering got to do with environmental protection? A lot! In future, plastics that pollute all our habitats could potentially be removed from the environment using genetically engineered enzymes, or prevented from entering the environment in the first place through detection methods. On Monday, 24 August, Prof. Dr. Ulrike Salat will give a Summer School lecture on how genetic engineering can help in the fight against microplastics.

All those interested are welcome to attend this free lecture at 10.00am on the Schwenningen campus.
