"The world is full of solutions"

Louis Palmer and his “SolarButterfly” will be stopping at Furtwangen University on 9 and 10 June.

Tuesday, 9 June, is Future Afternoon on the Furtwangen campus. Louis Palmer will make a stop with his “SolarButterfly” − a solar-powered vehicle that is the only one of its kind in the world − in the parking lot next to Robert-Gerwig-Platz. The climate pioneer will present various climate protection solutions that are already in use around the world. In addition, projects on climate protection from the university and External link opens in a new window:the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems will be presented at discussion tables.

From 1.30pm on, interested visitors are invited to view the “SolarButterfly,” engage in discussion, and gain new insights on climate protection. From 2.00 - 2.20pm Louis Palmer will give a keynote address in German at the “SolarButterfly,” followed by a presentation in English from 3.30 - 3.50pm.

The main lecture, “The World Is Full of Solutions” featuring speakers Louis Palmer and Prof. Christoph Wittwer (Fraunhofer ISE), will begin at 5.00pm in the auditorium on the Furtwangen campus.

  • 5.00pm: Lecture “The World Is Full of Solutions” by Louis Palmer and Prof. Christoph Wittwer (Fraunhofer ISE), followed by a panel discussion, auditorium

Wednesday, 10 June: Future Day on Schwenningen Campus

  • 8.00am - 1.00pm: Exclusively for HFU students
    • 8.00 - 9.30am: Lecture by Louis Palmer, solar-powered car, and future-themed tables
    • 9.45 - 11.15am: Lecture by Louis Palmer, solar-powered car, and future-themed tables
    • 11.30 - 1.00pm: Lecture by Louis Palmer, Solar Car, and Future Tables
