Over 1000 rubber ducks on the Breg
On Friday, 19 June, at 3.30pm, around 1,400 rubber ducks will set off in the annual duck race. The race starts at the bridge at Rößleplatz/Coelestone-Eisele Straße in Furtwangen and the ducks will swim as far as the bridge on Baumannstraße at the level of the church or, if the water level is low, as far as the bridge at the C Building. Tickets for a duck cost €2.50. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Bregtäler Kinderfonds and the Donaueschingen district animal shelter.
All those interested can secure one or more duck tickets in advance and then follow the race with their duck or ducks.
Tickets can be purchased from various sales points in Furtwangen: Pizza Point Furtwangen (Marktplatz 25), Mory's Hofbuchhandlung (Wilhelmstraße 3) and Papeterie Besenfelder (Baumannstraße 15).
Race participants can find information about the prizes on the website https://entenrennen-furtwangen.de. On the afternoon of the race, the finishing order of the ducks will also be published there.
