Mobility Day - information, free bike registration, prizes and more

The Climate Protection Team at Furtwangen University (HFU) invites you to the Mobility Day on Wednesday, 18 May. Under the theme “Mobility and Furtwangen,” visitors can look forward to a varied programme featuring presentations, information booths and a raffle.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Schlegel will provide an overview of mobility research at HFU, and Mayor Florian Merz will address the problems and challenges of local public transportation in rural areas.

Various information booths at the “Market of Mobile Possibilities” invite visitors to learn about regional services such as car-sharing or the “Move” public transportation network. Those who bring their own bicycles can have them coded and protected against theft at the stand of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club. “Visitors can even try out an unusual mode of transportation on a Segway course. There will also be a quiz rally as part of the market. Those who answer correctly can win great prizes from our sponsors in our raffle,” explains Maren Gernsheimer from the HFU Climate Protection Team, who helped organise the event.

“The Mobility Afternoon offers everyone interested a great opportunity to talk directly with decision-makers and contribute their own ideas on the topic of mobility.”
