Furtwangen University International Festival on 9 May

Culinary highlights from around the world will be available to sample on Saturday, 9 May, at the International Festival hosted by Furtwangen University (HFU). International HFU students will be preparing dishes from their home countries. “This time, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Peru, France, Mexico, Poland, the Czech Republic, India, Slovakia, and Korea will be participating,” says Julia Hennig from the HFU International Center. The students at the Dominican Republic booth are supported by the Dominican Health e.V. association, which will also handle beverage sales.

The International Festival will take place from 11.00am to 3.00pm in the parking lot next to the A Building on the Furtwangen Campus of HFU. Julia Hennig reveals, “In addition to the food stands, there will also be live music and perhaps the occasional impromptu performance by students.”

The International Festival is organised jointly by the university and the city of Furtwangen. Attending the festival and sampling the diverse food on offer is free of charge. You can bring your own dishes or rent them for a small fee. The fees and all other donations will be collected for the Katharinenhöhe Clinic in Furtwangen.
