Between Games: Ralf Speer, the current head of the Games Club
The Games Club at Furtwangen University invites you to the 57th Black Forest Game Days from 17 to 19 April
At the 57th Black Forest Game Days, the Furtwangen University (HFU) auditorium will once again be buzzing with excitement — thanks not only to the game of the same name, but also to many other card, dice and board games. The Games Club of the Student Union (AStA) at HFU invites game fans of all ages starting Friday, 17 April at 5.00pm. Games can be played almost around the clock until Sunday, 19 April at 6.00pm “We have over 300 games, from A for Azul to Carcassonne and Qwirkle to Z for Ticket to Ride. Of course, we also have the classics, so there’s something for everyone — whether you’re looking for something laid-back, adventurous or fast-paced,” reports Ralf Speer, the current head of the Games Club. “By the way, a special highlight is the Baden-Württemberg edition of The Settlers of Catan.”
The “Werewolves of the Dark Forest” will once again disguise themselves among unsuspecting villagers during the traditional Werewolf Night. In the large gaming group, unexplained occurrences and the howling of wolves are therefore not uncommon.
Admission to the event is free. “Just stop by — everyone is welcome, and there’s always a friendly group you can join if you come alone. If you want to grab a bite to eat, you can buy snacks, drinks, and even frozen pizzas right on site and pop them into the pizza oven in the courtyard,” explains Ralf Speer. “The Game Days are always a great opportunity to meet friends and make new ones. Nothing brings people together more than reading the rules — er, playing games — together,” laughs Speer.
