Lecture series on Tuttlingen Campus
The clinical introduction of new medical devices places high demands on scientific evidence, patient safety, regulatory compliance and evaluation within the healthcare context. Particularly in light of the Medical Device Regulation (MDR), robust product validation is becoming increasingly important.
On Tuesday, 28 April, the Internal link opens in the same window:CoHMed Innovation and Transfer Partnership invites you to a lecture on the topic of “New Approaches to Product Validation in Medical Technology”. The event is part of the CoHMedConnect series and is organised in cooperation with MedicalMountains.
The event will focus on the presentation “EFORT European Consensus – Medical and Scientific Research Requirements for the Clinical Introduction of Innovations in Accordance with MDR 2017/745.” The speaker is Prof. Dr. med. habil. Dr.-Ing. Thomas M. Grupp, Aesculap AG Research and Development. In his presentation, he will introduce the 1st EFORT European Consensus process, the resulting recommendations, and further perspectives on the clinical introduction of innovative arthroplasty products. Additionally, publications on the introduction of innovations and the Delphi process will be discussed.
This edition of CoHMedConnect focuses on how scientific evidence, clinical experience, patient safety and regulatory requirements can be systematically integrated to provide guidance for the evaluation and clinical introduction of medical technology innovations.
The event takes place from 4.00 - 6.00pm in A Building, Room A 1.01, on the Tuttlingen Campus (Kronenstraße 16, 78532 Tuttlingen).
