Girls' & Boys' Day programme at Furtwangen University

Explore the inner ear, try out a flight simulator, or create your own optical illusions − all of this is possible on Thursday, 23 April, at Furtwangen University (HFU). As part of Girls’ and Boys’ Day, there will be a variety of activities at the HFU campuses in Furtwangen, Schwenningen and Tuttlingen.

In Furtwangen, participants can, among other things, immerse themselves in the world of fire and disaster protection or take a look behind the scenes of ChatGPT and other text-based language models. On the Schwenningen campus, questions will be answered about why oil and water don’t mix or what it feels like to fly a plane. A mini-lecture on medical technology awaits visitors on the Tuttlingen campus. There, they’ll also have the chance to solder their own digital cube, attend a 3D workshop, create optical illusions, or learn about engineering psychology where humans and machines meet.

As part of Boys’ Day, which takes place at the same time, boys at the Furtwangen campus can learn all about the midwifery profession and try their hand at changing a baby’s diaper.

Registration is required to participate in these free events. All further details can be found on the Furtwangen University website:Internal link opens in the same window: https://www.hs-furtwangen.de/veranstaltungen/girls-day-boys-day
