Closing event for health studies programmes
At the end of the winter semester, 70 students from the Applied Health Sciences (AGW), Applied Health Promotion (AGF), and Midwifery Science (HW) programmes presented their theses. On “Health Day,” they offered exciting insights into current topics, projects and research results in a variety of poster presentations. Topics included music as a method of pain relief in obstetrics, the financial challenges facing statutory health insurance companies, and differences between urban and rural areas in terms of the risk of overweight and obesity in children and adolescents. The prospective graduates impressively demonstrated their broad range of expertise. In addition, five final workshops were held from the fourth semester of AGW and the second semester of AGF. Topics included interior design and the learning atmosphere in the O Building, and the question, “Do we need a right to an analog life to ensure the participation of marginalised groups?” The workshops were very well received and highlighted how committed the students are and how practical their work is. The midwifery graduates ended the evening with a small celebration.
“Health Day” takes place at the end of each semester at our university and offers a good opportunity for networking and exchanging ideas on current health topics.
