On Monday 29 April 2019 the Furtwangen University Board of Governors and Senate elected Andrea Linke of Heidenheim as the new Head of Administration of the University. Her term of office begins on 1 February 2020. The Head of Administration is responsible for Human Resources and Finance, including the University budget.

The selection process required for this demanding position is complex and rigorous. Andrea Linke succeeds Birgit Rimpo-Repp who will be stepping down at the end of her 6-year term in office. Ms Rimpo-Repp decided not to stand for re-election.

Andrea Linke is a lawyer and business economist with many years of experience in various leading positions. Currently she is employed at Carl Zeiss AG in Oberkochen. She was previously with Voith GmbH and EnBW AG. Ms Linke is 51 years old and married with 2 children. "I am delighted about the result of the election and the trust shown in me, and am looking forward to starting at HFU," says Andrea Linke. The President of HFU, Prof. Dr. Rolf Schofer congratulated our future Head of Administration: "We are looking forward very much to working with Ms Linke."
