PrepTec: Preparation for a STEM study programme in Germany

Learn German, mathematics and more on the Schwenningen Campus

Starting in Winter Semester 2019/20, a preparatory programme for international students will be run as a joint project by the Faculties of Medical and Life Sciences and Mechanical and Medical Engineering. Within the framework of the so-called PrepTec programme, participants can take a German course which will prepare them specifically for certificate examinations such as the TestDaF and the DSH. In addition, their maths will be brought up to the level required for technical courses and they will gain practical lab experience. Intercultural skills are also taught on the PrepTec programme and insights into their later working world are gained through excursions to companies in the region. Participants will also receive information on the study programmes offered at HFU during orientation events.

Participation in the programme is completely free of charge. Applications for the first PrepTec Semester (Winter Semester 2019/20) are now being accepted. The deadline for applications is 31 May 2019. The project is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for Science, Research and The Arts.
