In this workshop, your students will conduct experiments to explore the fascinating properties of liquids. Using selected substances, they will investigate fundamental chemical phenomena such as miscibility, density, viscosity and flammability, and learn how these properties can be systematically measured in the laboratory.
At various experimental stations, participants can work independently, observe, compare and evaluate results. In the process, key concepts from chemistry lessons are reinforced through hands-on activities and supplemented by engaging experiments covering everything from everyday phenomena to separation techniques such as extraction and salting out.
Customisable
The workshop content can also be adapted for students from the 6th grade on. In this case, the focus is increasingly on hands-on experiments and basic observations. This ensures a age-appropriate and motivating introduction to thinking about chemistry.
