Microbiology in the high school lab

Illustrative image: Several stacked media plates or Petri dishes

This workshop gives your students a vivid, hands-on look into the world of microorganisms. They will learn how to work under sterile conditions, cultivate microorganisms, and make them visible under a microscope. In the microbiology lab, they can observe how invisible cells develop into visible colonies and how culture media influence growth. In the process, they observe, document and interpret their results − just like in real research. The workshop combines microbiological fundamentals with practical laboratory techniques.

Customisable

The workshop content can be flexibly adapted for middle and upper school students.
