Research at the Faculty of Computer Science

From Cloud Computing to IT Security and Socio-informatics

The Faculty of Computer Science is currently carrying out research in six different areas of Computer Science. Scientists in the Faculty work closely with partners from industry and business, as well as with other educational institutions on their individual research projects. We are networked internationally through our research activities and technology partners and the research results which are published gain international recognition.

Research-informed teaching approach

In the Faculty of Computer Science research and teaching are closely connected. Innovative research results are used by professors in their teaching. Students are introduced to application-based research up close during coursework, projects and seminars, and while working on their bachelor's and master's theses. Promising scientists have the opportunity to do a doctoral degree in cooperation with a university.
