Dirk Hölscher has successfully defended his doctoral thesis as part of a doctoral partnership with the University of Plymouth.

IDACUS (Institute for Data Science, Cloud Computing and IT Security) is pleased to announce the successful defense of Dirk Hölscher's PhD thesis at the University of Plymouth in England. In his dissertation entitled "Generated Image Quality Assurance and Generative Adversarial Network Augmentation for Machine Learning ”, he made an important contribution to the optimisation of image quality in machine learning processes.

Mr. Hölscher, who completed both his bachelor's and master's degrees in Computer Science and Computer Networking at Furtwangen University, worked on his dissertation as part of a doctoral partnership between Furtwangen University and the University of Plymouth. During this time, he was supervised by Prof. Dr. Christoph Reich, Vice-President for Research and Sustainability and Head of IDACUS. He was also supported by Prof. Nathan Clarke from the University of Plymouth as an external supervisor.

As an employee of the IDACUS Institute, Mr. Hölscher worked intensively on innovative research projects. His doctoral thesis focused on the development of quality assurance methods for images generated by artificial intelligence and made an important contribution to AI-based authentication of images generated with Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). This research represents a future-oriented and valuable contribution in the field of image processing.

The successful defense of his dissertation marks an important milestone in his scientific career. We would like to congratulate Mr. Dirk Hölscher on this significant achievement.
