After being known for 14 years as the WING half-marathon and 10K run, this year the event has been renamed the HFU Run - Half-marathon and 10K. The Pasta Party is still held on the evening before, as always.
The whole University is invited to get involved in the organization and/or to take part in the competition. For example, a project group from the Faculty of Digital Media will carry out the media work for the event.

The 15th HFU Run - Half-marathon and 10K starts on Saturday, 26 October at 10.30am at the auditorium of Furtwangen University on the Furtwangen Campus. The legendary Pasta Party is held in the cafeteria on the evening before, Friday 25 October, starting at 6.00pm.
The HFU Run is all about taking part, not trying to break records - about getting together, meeting interesting people and, above all, having a great time. The run through the beautiful Black Forest countryside and the outstanding support programme make it a very special experience. Students, staff, alumni, company representatives and guests are all welcome. Besides sport, the emphasis is on interaction between members of Furtwangen University and the townspeople of Furtwangen, local firms and clubs and the various guests. To increase team spirit and fun, it is run as a team event. Mixed teams with any number of participants can be registered for the event. The winning team is the one with the highest number of kilometers run. Here it's not minutes and seconds which count, but the fun in running together.
There are two courses: a half-marathon (21.1 km) and a 10km run. Both runs will start at 10.30am.
The 10km course goes from the inner courtyard of Furtwangen University (in front of the auditorium) via Baumannstraße, along the Breg past Schönenbach to the turning point after 5 km, and back on the same route. Everyone can run, job, walk or ramble along the 10K route.
The half-marathon is a classic 21.1 km long and goes on past the turning point of the 10 km course to Vöhrenbach and back. This route is just for running.
