With more then 160 years of innovation culture as an educational institution, Furtwangen University (HFU) feels duty bound to contribute to SEED in the areas of academics, research, transfer and operations. As a public institution at the core of the academic system we regard ourselves as having a special responsibility to play our part in the sustainable development of society.
Furtwangen University has always been aware of its regional, social, economical and ecological responsibility and has developed over those 160 years in a sustainable manner. Today sustainability is anchored in our mission statement: "We accept social responsibility with regard to sustainability and safeguarding the future."
