European Study on Gender Aspects of Inventions – Statistical survey and analysis of gender impact on invention
Laufzeit: Oktober 2006 – Januar 2009
Das Projekt wird gefördert im 6. Forschungsrahmenprogramm der EU.
The aim of the ESGI study is to investigate a possible gender impact on inventive activities of all 27 EU Member States within the time-span 2001-2003. The available knowledge base indicates a comparatively low participation of women in inventive activities in relation to their participation in research and development. However, there is lack of detailed data covering all 27 EU Member States. The ESGI project contributes to closing this gap by combining comprehensive analysis of Eurostat data and an online-survey with heads of research and development departments into a gender impact assessment of the inventive activities of all 27 EU Member States.
